“A real trifecta of wit and warmth and patience.

I cannot properly express my thanks. So, so happy and so excited. You were an angel. I don't know when I last saw O so engaged. Thank you for your time and your professionalism and your wide open heart.”

The human behind Meredith Zinner Photography (I so wanna add a musical ‘dum dah dum’ here).

I spend HOURS at museums. Like, I wanna see EVERYTHING.

Getting lost in a film, comic, photograph, vegan brownie? MWAH (chef’s kiss). Stumbling onto old prints or albums? YES PLEASE.

And yes holding a print in my hand brings me more joy than grabbing a glimpse of boring on my phone.

I’m gonna go out on a limb (when was the last time you ACTUALLY did that) and say that some photos are too valuable to never be seen and that’s why I do what I do.

Providing your kids the opportunity to revisit their Adorable AND Awkward Stages, their favorite pet with the thing on its foot? or the face they made when their brother gave them a slice of lemon? freaking priceless. And none of it on a damn screen.

And speaking of photo sessions (we weren’t) mine are about you.

REAL is better than perfect. Everything and everyone matters. No one sits in a pumpkin.

Yes, it’ll be a month before you see your images (my process involves getting some distance to best tell your story). I’ll probably return your email after midnight and drop an f bomb on the phone.

*and … crickets …’

I’ll also give my all. And make sure you walk away delighted, inspired, and looking forward to doing it all again next year.

Hello! I’m Meredith

“I don't even know where to start. Meredith is simply amazing.

- Lisa.

Ch-ch-ch-ch-changes

So, I used to be an actor (RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!) I first fell in love with photography waaaay back in high school (when darkrooms and those amazing chemical smells were still a thing). My energy and love chose acting as my career and photographing my friend’s kids, pets, and fellow actors’ headshots was my constant hobby.

EVERYTHING CHANGED when my beloved husband sat me down to say he wanted to tell me something (cue: INSTANT PANIC). He cleared his throat, blurted “You’re miserable when you’re acting” and quickly hid behind a pillow in case I started throwing things (like my pride). He added ‘but you’re SO HAPPY every time you come back from a kid’s photo session. EVERY time, I felt I needed to tell you.”

Cut to a decade later. No longer in ‘the business of show,’ I’m ecstatic to never have to audition or learn lines again. I adore running my own business and every moment I get to be on the other side of the camera celebrating your milestones.

Theatre and improvisation encouraged the joy of connecting with others, the exchange of energy, and navigating unexpected surprises. All of which are deeply ingrained in my photography.

Today, I continue to lead with my heart. It remains wide open, ready to embrace your family and how best I can tell your story.

A whole lotta love and a whole lot to love.

I’m endlessly drawn to kids. In a room of 100 incredibly interesting adults and one grumpy toddler, you’ll find me hiding behind my own finger speaking like a muppet entertaining baby moody.

I find every family uniquely compelling and wish every kid to feel seen, loved, valued, adored, and celebrated for precisely who they are.

I’m one of a few photographers to offer a full-service photographic experience culminating with a curated collection of tangible portraits and lasting family heirlooms.

Creating meaningful physical heirlooms for your family to enjoy and pass down to future generations provides far more value than a handful of digitals to lose on some corrupted hard drive.

Yes, my unparalleled personal service is a larger investment. And yes the museum-grade printing, signature albums, and esteemed artwork you receive are priceless.

Whether it be an heirloom album to pass down to your grandchildren or artful prints to hang in your home, these photographic gifts will one day become nostalgic memories.

I can’t imagine anything more important.
